Privacy policy

Last updated: October 2026 — draft

Your privacy matters to us. This page explains the data we collect when you use the Dayretak app and website, what we use it for, who sees it, and how to delete it — in line with the Egyptian Personal Data Protection Law No. 151 of 2020.

1. Who we are

Dayretak is a local services app in Badr City, Egypt. We are responsible for the data you enter in the app and website. Contact: WhatsApp support 01554414403.

2. Data we collect

  • Account data: your name, mobile number, email if you add one (optional), and your password (stored encrypted; nobody can read it).
  • Delivery addresses you save (area, street, building, floor, apartment and notes).
  • Your location (GPS) only while ordering and only if you allow it, to pinpoint the delivery spot. We don't track you in the background.
  • Order data: what you ordered, from whom, the price and the time.
  • Basic technical data: device type, app version and crash reports, so we can fix problems.
  • If you apply via "Add your business": your name, business name, category, number and area.

3. What we use it for

We don't sell your data to anyone, and we don't use it for anything other than what's written here.

  • To fulfil and deliver your orders.
  • To contact you about your order or account.
  • To improve the app, keep it secure and prevent fraud.
  • To send you notifications about your orders, and offers if you agree (you can turn them off in settings).

4. Who sees your data

  • The shop or service provider you order from: your name and order details, and your address for deliveries.
  • The captain delivering your order: your name, number and delivery address, only for that order.
  • Service providers we work with (hosting and database, notifications, crash reporting), processing data on our behalf under data-protection obligations.
  • Official authorities when required by law.

5. Where it's stored and for how long

Your data is stored on secured servers of a cloud provider (Frankfurt region, European Union) with an adequate level of protection, in line with the cross-border transfer rules of Egyptian law.

We keep your account data while your account exists. When you delete your account we delete it, except what the law requires us to keep (such as invoice records), and only for the required period.

6. Your rights

  • To know what data we hold about you and get a copy.
  • To correct or update your data.
  • To delete your account and data — in the app or on the "Delete account" page.
  • To withdraw consent for notifications or location at any time from your phone or app settings.
  • To file a complaint with the Personal Data Protection Center if you believe your rights were not respected.

7. Keeping your data safe

We use encrypted connections (HTTPS), passwords are stored encrypted, and every user can only access their own data. If a breach affects your data, we'll notify you and the competent authorities as the law requires.

8. Children

The app is for people aged 18 or older, or younger users with a guardian's consent and supervision.

9. Changes

If we change this policy we'll publish the new version here and update the date above, and notify you in the app for important changes.
